Hello friends! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Shea Houser, and I have the privilege of serving as the Pastor here at Salem Baptist Church. Over the years, l've had the honor of serving this wonderful church family in various roles. I am grateful to now lead in the role of Pastor.

 

Currently, I live in Vale with my wife, Pam, and our three daughters, Kaitlyn, Lily, and Gwendolyn. Born and raised in Lincolnton, I graduated from West Lincoln High School. Although I didn't attend church regularly, I grew up learning the values of a Christian lifestyle. However, it wasn't until I was already a husband and father that I accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus's sacrifice on the cross.

 

My ministry journey began with the daily prayers of my wife, asking God to move in my heart to attend church with her. Little did she know, those prayers would lead to so much more. As God does with all His children, He revealed His purpose for my life, and I happily accepted His call to follow. I love Jesus, my family, and my church family. (And yes, I love my dog Peppy too- Papa's good best buddy!)

 

I'm excited that the Lord led you here to visit our site, and I invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:45am. Dress how you'd like! Some of us come in shorts and a t-shirt and others in suits and ties. No matter how you come, you'll be treated like family!
